The Post Mount Interface (PMI) is designed to be mounted on a standard traffic pole with four open collector inputs and transmit the input data to the Remote Loop Interface (RLI) unit mounted in the traffic controller cabinet, to be used in conjunction with the 650 Radar and RLI.

Up to four PMI units can simultaneously be configured to the one RLI unit, transmitting data in real-time. In addition, the PMI unit has a wireless anticollision detection system, which allows them to select automatically a different wireless channel for transmission to the RLI unit.
